The scent is natural and light which is perfect. The conditioner leaves my toddler’s hair soft.

My little kids have been getting crunchy, dried-out hair from swimming lessons. Frequent washing and rinsing was not enough. They've also been growing out their hair, so snaggles are becoming a problem for them.
I wanted a regular conditioner product for them, and found this. However, when it arrived, i glanced at the instructions, and noticed it does NOT say to wash hair first, and does NOT tell you to rinse afterward. Oh no, did i order a leave-in conditioner by mistake? So I used as instructed, applying after a rinse-off after swimming and then I did not rinse the product out. Well, that is NOT the way to use this. Their hair had too much residue and looked greasy and dirty. The instructions are bad; it seems to be just a normal conditioner.
When i washed first, then applied this to their hair in the shower, then RINSED, it worked as expected. The hair is softer, and easier to comb. I don't know why the instructions on the bottle are so weird.
I was surprised that both my little kids complained about it the scent. My son, who's 9, said, "Why does this smell like orange peels that were left in the trash overnight?" And my younger daughter whined, "This smells too strong!" I have never known them to complain about hair product smells before. Now after a week of use, i think it is starting to smell a bit rancid.

I love that this conditioner leaves my hair silky soft without containing any silicones. The the scent is not exactly appealing, but this works well. I love that both the primary ingredients and the fragrances are all natural. Most are plant-based extracts that encourage healthy hair growth.

I love that this conditioner is free of harsh chemicals, and is not only silicone free, but it is also hypoallergenic and naturally scented. The lavender scent smells great, and the conditioner itself is a thick consistency that works great in my hair. It really works to detangler my hair, which is very thick and curly.

The only downside is the price point. Each bottle is only 10 fluid ounces, and for the purchase price, it is a bit more than I would typically spend. For that reason, I have deducted a star.

My 2-year-old daughter insists on wearing her fine, curly hair down. After long days of outside play it can get pretty dull and tangled. I use this after a shampoo to get the tangles out and restore the softness and shine. Works great.

This stuff works really great. I really like it in my hair. It makes it soft and untangly. However, the smell isn't as great as it sounds like it would be really doesn't smell citrusy at all. Don't know how to describe it except not good.

Nice, light scent, I feel like it helps relax my son before bed. It is easy to use. We have an easier time combing through my daughter's longer tangled hair. We enjoy this conditioner. It is more expensive than I usually like to spend.

I think this is a great conditioner for kids. Has a calming lavender scent and is thick in consistency. It is gentle on the hair and there are no harsh chemicals in the formula. I used this on my hair as well and it was ok. I prefer a deeper moisturizing conditioner for my hair but again this is good for kids.

This soothing lavender conditioner is made with a child’s skin and hair in mind. It has cleaner ingredients and is free of all harsh chemicals.

I found that it works well, smells great and did help with tangles.

...I got this for myself and not a small child. I wanted to try something lighter on my hair, which is really fine and prone to breakage. The smell is okay, not great, just okay. But the product itself works really well on my hair type. I do feel that the price point is quite high for the amount of product you receive, making this an occasional buy versus a continual buy.

While conditioning, my kid complained to me that the Sweet Citrus hair conditioner didn't smell good, so I thought "uh oh, this isn't going to go well". But minutes later she called me over to show that it had made her hair silky smooth in the shower. She gets upset when she can't get tangles out while conditioning (she's 8), so this made her happy enough with the performance that it overrode her initial misgivings about the scent. Her long straight hair dried to a lovely soft tangle free texture, and I didn't notice the bitter citrus scent sticking around afterwards. I love that I didn't see any sulfates or silicones in the formulation. Performance: 5, scent: 3. Overall, we liked this conditioner and will use it again.

To start with I used this conditioner on my daughter the way I would me, I applied a half dollar sized amount and focused using on there midlengths and ends. I left it set while we scrubbed and rinsed the rest of her and then rinsed it out. It definitely left her hair feeling softer but didn't help much with her tangles. The next time I did everything the same but finger combed and then combed her hair before rinsing the product out. This definitely helped, it really does need better instructions on how to use this.

Okay so.... this sweet citrus smell doesn't smell like the lotion, this is a bit stronger. I mean, it's not the worst but not something we absolutely loved.
Now onto the quality, I really like this. My daughters hair long and always has tangles - this conditioner has helped so much!!
I really like it & this companies products.

I like this conditioner. It does a good job of untangling my hair. It does not leave a residue on my hair. My hair absorbs it in very quickly which meant I used a lot of it which was unexpected. The scent is a little strange but not unpleasant. I do wish the bottle were a bit bigger.

My daughter has a LOT of really long, thinner hair that gets tangled really easily when we wash it, and she absolutely hates having all the knots brushed through. I started getting separate conditioners for her a few years ago (as opposed to the 2 or 3 in 1 soaps) and it's not as easy as it should be to find a conditioner for her that doesn't contain any of the harmful stuff that's in adult conditioners, and still conditions and detangles really well.

My daughter and I both love lavender, so I thought we could give this conditioner a shot. It does smell really nice, but on top of that it does actually condition and detangle my daughters hair pretty well. I usually let the natural conditioners sit on her hair for a few minutes to really soak in, and this seems to make a big difference as to how well the conditioners work-- the same goes for this conditioner as well.

With this conditioner, it's definitely less dramatic when I'm brushing out her hair after her showers/baths. That in itself is priceless lol.

We're both very happy with how this conditioner worked out. My daughter really likes the smell of her hair after she uses this conditioner. I really like that I can brush through her hair without too much drama, (we still use a natural spray conditioner too) and I love how there's no harmful ingredients to this conditioner. I just with that companies would make their natural products for kids a little more affordable.

This conditioner has a nice lavender scent and leaves your hair moisturized and looking good. It doesn't leave any residue in your hair. I took off one star because it's too expensive to use on a regular basis.

I got this for my toddler but I usually test it out on myself first. I thought it would be an enjoyable scent but I didn't particularly enjoy it. The scent was sort of lavender-ish but it had a slightly off putting smell to it as well. I'm not all that sensitive to scents or anything but just did not like the scent of this product.

The conditioner itself is ok, I didn't find it to do that great of a job conditioning hair. I do like the "natural" ingredients and that it is silicone free.

Sadly this wasn't one that stood out for me to where I would want to repurchase. However, I still recommend giving it a chance because you might like it. The ingredients are good, the scent and results just didn't wow me.

This conditioner works great for my kiddos. It helps with tangles in my daughters hair that always looks like a rat's nest. However, she told me she didn't like the smell, and I agree. The first time I smelled it I thought something was wrong with my nose. I was expecting a nice citrusy smell and got something mildly unpleasant instead. There's a hint of citrus in there, but it's definitely not like sniffing a fresh orange. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to stay once the hair is dry. But other than that, great conditioner that works well in my kids' hair!
