We've been on the road a bit this year. We've packed up the products and taken Zoey Naturals to Prego Expo in New York and Orlando, along with joining parents from around the country for the virtual Prego Expo in July. We still have three cities left on the calendar, with Phoenix, Boston, and Los Angeles coming up before the end of the year.
It's been a busy, but we've had a lot of fun so far. We spend so much of our time thinking about formulas, ingredients, packaging, orders, and all the little details that go into Zoey Naturals, so Prego Expo gives us a chance to get out from behind all of that and actually spend time talking with parents. Those conversations have become one of the biggest reasons we enjoy going.
Conversations Matter
New and expecting parents have a lot of questions about what they're putting on their baby's skin, and we completely understand why. Those same questions played a big role in why we created Zoey Naturals in the first place.
At Prego Expo, we talk about everything from ingredients and sensitive skin to naturally scented products and what you actually need to have at home. We meet first-time parents who aren't sure where to begin, as well as parents expecting their second or third baby who know exactly what they want this time around.
We also hear quite a bit about what families don't want. Parents tell us which ingredients they're trying to avoid, products they've used in the past, and what has or hasn't worked for their child's skin. We hear about dry patches, sensitive skin, bath time struggles, diaper rash, and the challenge of finding products the whole family can use.
These conversations give us an opportunity to share what we've learned, but they also give us a chance to listen. Hearing directly from parents about what matters to them is something we never take for granted.
Trying Zoey Naturals in Person
Shopping online is easy, but choosing skincare from a photo and a product description can sometimes be difficult. At Prego Expo, parents can pick up the products, smell them, feel the textures, read the labels, and ask us questions while they're doing it.
It's especially helpful when someone is trying to decide between our fragrance free products and naturally scented options like Soothing Lavender or Sweet Citrus. Instead of guessing what they might like, they can experience them for themselves.
Our Vanilla Grapefruit Body Butter tends to get a lot of attention too. Once people feel how rich it is, we can talk about the different ways we use it around our own house, from dry knees and elbows to skin that needs a little extra moisture after swimming, to even helping with cradle cap when the kids were younger. Moms are also surprised to learn that it's for them too. Our Body Butter has been used on growing bellies during pregnancy to keep skin soft and moisturized, and it continues to be a favorite long after the baby arrives.
Being there in person also means we can have a real conversation about what someone is looking for instead of assuming every family needs the same thing. Sometimes fragrance free is the best place to start. Sometimes a parent is looking for a simple bath and lotion routine. Other times, they already know exactly what they need and just want to find a product that checks the right boxes, like no harsh chemicals.
That's what we enjoy about these events. There isn't one conversation we're trying to have with everyone who walks up to the booth.
Where We're Heading Next
We've already had a great time meeting families this year and connecting with parents, but we're not finished yet.
Before the end of the year, we'll be heading to Phoenix in September, Boston in October, and Los Angeles in November, which means there are still plenty of opportunities to come see us in person.

We started Zoey Naturals by thinking about what we wanted to use with our own family. Getting out on the road and meeting other families reminds us that while every parent's experience is a little different, we're all asking many of the same questions along the way.
