Zoey loves to stay busy. She is a ball of energy and never naps. About the only time she isn’t moving is when she is asleep! And she’s been that way since she was born so I knew at a young age we would have to get creative to keep her occupied. Fortunately, her curiosity and interests are as intense as is her boundless energy.
Zoey enjoys just about any activity she has ever tried. She loves coloring, painting, making arts and crafts, playing outdoors, building things with blocks but most of all she LOVES baking. We got her started in the kitchen at about the same time she could stand up. Her interest in baking comes naturally as she comes from a family of bakers. I love to bake and I learned from my mom (Zoey’s grandmother, Mimi) who learned from her mom. On the other side of the family, Zoey’s Grammy (Danny’s mom), also loves to bake and they have a session nearly every week. So anytime in the kitchen is a good time in Zoey’s eyes.
If it were up to her, we would bake cakes, cupcakes, and cookies every day! In fact, Zoey takes every opportunity to bake cakes and cupcakes which means if it’s anyone’s birthday we know they are probably getting a special treat from Zoey.
I try to get creative and do different things and designs but keep it simple enough that Zoey can be involved. When I asked Zoey what she wanted to make for daddy’s birthday her answer was RAINBOW CUPCAKES! So that is exactly what we did.
All good things,
Kelsey, Zoey's mama
